Renault continually progresses in its determination to offer every person who travels in a Renault the highest level of protection.

Euro NCAP (European Car Assessment Program) is an independent association backed by five European Governments, the European Commission and the Department for Transport. The Euro NCAP program measures a cars ability to prevent any unexpected dangers / risks. Renault's achievement of the maximum score of five stars is evidence or our on-going commitment to safety.

Prevention

Renault cars have many features that prevent and warn you of danger. The doors lock automatically when moving off, a warning light reminds you to wear your seatbelt. Then there's a rain sensor to activate the windscreen wipers, a sensor to automatically turn on the headlamps and a tyre pressure monitor to warn you of incorrect pressure, slow punctures or blowouts.

Protection

The passive safety systems developed by Renault are designed to give the highest level of protection in collisions, based on the idea that the passenger compartment should stay intact. Inside all passengers have protective equipment that adapts to them, whatever their size, shape and seating position, such as multiple airbags and seat-belt pretensioners with load limiters.

Correction

Unexpected situations demand extremely quick and accurate driver reactions. Renault installs systems that detect abnormal circumstances and make the necessary adjustments automatically. Electronic Stability Program, Understeer Control, Traction Control, ABS with Electronic Brake Distribution and Emergency Brake Assist are just some of the features designed to help you stay in control.
